Last tango for France before the final
It was a mix between relaxation and full focus that EHF Photographer Stephane Pillaud came across when he followed the French national team on Saturday, the day before they meet defending champions, Denmark, in the EHF EURO 2014 Final. Pillaud was granted full access to all their activities and his photos show a team that on the one hand still finds the time to laugh, but on the other hand gives full attention to the task ahead.
EHF EURO 2014 All-star Team
Just hours before the final day of the Men's EHF EURO 2014 throws off, the European Handball Federation has announced the All-Star team of this championship. Finalists and defending champions, Denmark, are represented with two of their players, goalkeeper Niclas Landin and left back Mikkel Hansen, while the other finalists, France, send right wing Luc Abalo to the team. On the day before their main round match against Iceland, EHF Photographer Uros Hocevar caught up with Kiril Lazarov. The Macedonian top star granted Hocevar unprecedented access - not only was he able to follow Lazarov during a coffee break, but also to his room, his physio session and many more.
How do handball players live at the EHF EURO?
It was around 15:20 hrs on 10 January when the EHF EURO 2014 definitely started for Austria. This was the time when the bus that had picked up the players from Billund Airport arrived at the team hotel in Herning.
