Back on the occasion of the 10th Ordinary EHF Congress on 25 September 2010 in Copenhagen, the 2014 EHF Men’s European Championship was awarded to Denmark.
The tournament will take place from Sunday 12 January – Sunday 26 January 2014.
The host cities and playing halls chosen for the Men's EHF EURO 2014 were selected with the utmost care and consideration, with every city bringing its own charm and vibrant energy.
The preliminary round will be played in Herning (Jyske Bank Boxen), Copenhagen (Brøndby Hallen), Aarhus (NRGi Arena) and Aalborg (Gigantium).
The main round will be played in Herning and Aarhus. The venue for the semi-finals, the finals and the 5/6 placement match is Herning's Jyske Bank Boxen.
Side events for all
Once they arrive at the EHF EURO 2014 visitors will be able to engage in various activities at side events whenever they are not at the venues cheering for their team.
The 'Heart of Handball' will beat in the arenas and in fan zones established in the city centres demonstrating that Denmark is more than a host.
Spectators will experience Denmark’s unique handball culture. From the moment they arrive in Denmark they will be submerged into the celebration of the sport.
