Built in 1999, Aalborg Gigantium is a gigantic multi-sports complex covering 25,000 square metres.
It houses two ice-rinks, four handball halls and lots of facilities for meetings and social events.
The complex has mobile telescopic terraces for spectators. The interior of the main hall is flexible with regards to its ability to host a large number of spectators while giving the opportunity for as many local sports clubs, as possible, to use the surrounding facilities even when big events are not on.
However, when handball and ice-hockey are played at the Gigantium there are very few venues that can offer the same enthusiastic atmosphere.
